Latest Update (6 May 2020)

Axe Valley Vets are trying our best to provide as much normality as possible for you all and will continue to provide care for all of your pets. We do please ask that you bear with us in this difficult time.

We want to make you all aware that all consultations will, in the first instance, be with a vet over the phone. These calls are chargeable at the time and if one of our vets deems it necessary that your pet needs to attend the practice, arrangements will then be made and no further consultation fee with be applied for that specific consultation slot.

If you are asked by one of our vets to attend for an appointment this will be at our Blackford Surgery Only.

The practice will advise you on our current protocols for when you arrive at the practice, depending on the level of risk, prior to attending the surgery.

These are the services we are currently still able to provide centrally from Blackford:

  • All Emergencies
  • Other consultations by telephone triage
  • Puppy and Kitten Vaccine course
  • Rabbit Vaccines
  • Cytopint & Desensitisation Injections
  • Zycortal Injections
  • Chemotherapy Treatments

Our Blackford, Cheddar and Wells branches will all still be opening on altered hours to allow you to collect any medications, flea and wormers and food. Bearing this is mind please do call your branch before collecting and allow us extra time for these to be provided, due to the overstretched supply chain.

We have unfortunately had to make the decision to temporarily close our Woolavington and Bleadon Branches from Monday 30th March 2020 until further notice.

For any queries, routine or otherwise, please call us on 01934 712229 or email on info@axevalleyvets.co.uk and one of our team will be happy to help.

Thank you again for your continuing understanding in this difficult time.

Please take care and look after yourselves.

From us all at Axe Valley Vets
